PRACTICE SITUATION

The practice is situated in the previous old market town of Bromsgrove, Worcestershire and has the benefit of a dispensing branch surgery in the village of Stoke Prior 3 miles south. To the north lies the Lickey and Clent Hills and greenbelt countryside encircles the town, surrounding villages and farming community.

The town has the benefit of the Princes of Wales Community Hospital with GP beds and rehabilitation wards. There are also out-patient services, a Radiology Department and Minor Injuries Unit. The Brookhaven Psychiatric Unit is also situated here.

 

THE PRACTICE

The practice has a total population of 11,500 with 4 full-time ( 2 male/2 female) and 3 half-time ( 2male/1 female ) partners. There is also a retainer doctor and GP Registrar.

The practice has a strong team spirit with regular educational and business meetings including regular "away days".

Most of the team is involved in training and we are a specialist Family Planning Training Practice. There is a full compliment of staff including Practice Manager, Secretaries, Reception Staff, Practice Nurses, Nurse Practitioner in Training, Counsellors, Physiotherapist, Phlebotomist and District Nurses, Health Visitors, Social Workers and Hospital at Home Team.

The Practice is fully computerised and developing links.
