ABOUT US
We are a very friendly five-partner Practice in Redditch town centre with nearly 10,000 patients.
Our patients encompass the full range of age and socio-economic status. The Practice area covers the town as well as more rural surrounding areas. This allows us to provide our Registrar with a broad experience of general practice.
Our two trainers, Richard Davenport and John Cassidy share training responsibilities and all the doctors (and indeed the whole Practice team) are actively involved in training. We can also offer "in-house" family planning training with our Senior Partner, Sue Jenkins. Our Registrars enjoy protected tutorial time and there is time for private study.
There is a warm and welcoming atmosphere amongst the both doctors and Practice staff and our summer barbeques and Christmas parties have to be seen to be believed!!!!
ON CALL
Out of hours work is covered by the highly successful REDDITCH GP CO-OPERATIVE based at the Alexandra Hospital. There is always a minimum of two doctors on duty at any time and a triage nurse takes calls, assesses priority and advises many patients without reference to the doctors. Our visiting rate is low, with nearly 90 % of patients attending the Primary Care Centre. This enables us to give a high quality service to patients with minimal waiting times, whilst ensuring that doctors’ On Call commitment is efficient and even pleasurable !
These arrangements mean that the Registrar does not need to live in the immediate locality. As long as you can get to work, we don’t mind!!
Unbeatable On Call commitment: No On Call in first month.
Weekday evenings: (4 hours) 1 in approximately 24
Weekend sessions: (5 - 5 and a half hours) 1 session in 5 weeks.
Night sessions: 10.00pm – 8.00a.m. NONE
There will always be a doctor from the Practice available to you when you are on call.

We have been training since 1994 and have had a virtually unbroken succession of excellent registrars, all of whom have enjoyed their time here. We can supply their details if required.
