Bromsgrove/Redditch GP VTS

A very friendly, popular and flexible scheme offering a comprehensive and stimulating three year learning experience. Educational experiences within each post include protected learning time within hospital specialities and the half day release in General Practice.

SHO Posts are at The Alexandra Hospital, Redditch. The rotations include a choice of General/Geriatric Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, A&E, and innovative posts including GP registrar in Community Women's Health and a project based post in Public Health.

Wyre Forest GP VTS

This continues to be a very popular scheme centred on Kidderminster. SHO posts are at The Worcestershire Royal Infirmary, Worcester and rotate through Accident & Emergency, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Medicine and Paediatrics. Each post has excellent educational opportunities geared to your future needs as a General Practitioner including sessions at out-patient clinics in minor specialities and community attachments. There is a wealth of high quality training practices within the Wyre Forest Area amongst some of the most beautiful countryside in the region. Throughout the three years you are encouraged to attend the half-day release course which has an enviable reputation in itself.

A selection of educational modules are being developed for SHOs on the course which will compliment the learning done at the Half-day release
